Meanwhile, Hamilton may be a musical about history but Deadlined mentioned that this epic deserves to also be part of history. “It is, in truth, the quintessence of a Broadway musical destined for the record books,” wrote Jeremy Gerard. Lastly, TimeOut New York added, “I love Hamilton. I love it like I love New York, or Broadway when it gets it right. And this is so right.” Writer David Cote had nothing but good words in his review, “Hamilton hits multilevel culture buttons, hard…Miranda may be composer-lyricist and star, but the world he creates is vibrantly democratic.”
