Rounded out by popular music genres of hip-hop, jazz, and R&B, it is a fast-paced narrative that has been received positively by audiences both in the U.S.A. and abroad.

Debuting in 2015 and running for almost a decade, Hamilton took Broadway by storm bringing a revolutionary approach. From Ron Chernow’s book about Alexander Hamilton, it tells the story of Alexander Hamilton’s early years and journey to one of the Founding Fathers of the USA. A unique story that is both creative and clever, Hamilton has been hailed as fearless in its storytelling that has influenced politics, culture, and our youth.
It was created by American composer and writer Lin-Manuel Miranda who is also known for his numerous accomplishments in both Broadway and film. He went on to compose the music and lyrics for his former Broadway play called "In the Heights", another Tony award-winning production, and is also responsible for the music and lyrics in several notable musical films such as Moana. This hit Broadway musical, featuring a diverse cast, has showtunes in a style that mixes new genres like hip hop, jazz, R&B and more, which has made Hamilton all the more innovative and exciting by bringing these genres to Broadway. Broadway hits such as “Satisfied”, “Wait For It”, and “You’ll Be Back”, have become loved by many as Broadways best memorable songs from the musical since its Broadway debut. Lin-Manuel Miranda has attributed his music inspiration for Hamilton to become top rap and hip hop artists of USA, he wanted to unite the two different genres together, something that was unheard of! The score of Hamilton are praised hugely by Colorado critics alike, as compared to other Broadway musicals produced today, Hamilton continues to be more fast-paced and lively than many.
Hamilton has since gone on to achieve a record-breaking 11 Tony Awards and 16 Tony nominations, Grammy Awards, Olivier Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and even a special mention from the Kennedy Center Honors. So far, Hamilton has achieved success all over the world as it continues its worldwide tour, including the continents of Europe and Asia.
