All missionary-to-be Elder Kevin Price wanted was to be assigned on a mission to Orlando, Florida. But fate has different plans when he, along with a compulsive liar and pop culture fanatic Elder Arnold Cunningham, gets sent on a mission to Northern Uganda. A small town that has big happenings, including a corrupt warlord General Butt F*cking Naked, who’s keen on executing some unspeakable things to the villages. Meanwhile, Price and Cunningham travel to the remote town and get the most jaw dropping culture shocks of their lives. For starters, the duo witness an execution and the general comes into town demanding the general mutilation of young female villages. Now, the locals are keen on converting to Christianity but the general is standing in the way and Cunningham’s lies on certain important details of their teachings are hindering the succes of this mission. Premiering on Broadway in 2011, The Book Mormon continues to turn up Broadway even to this day. The musical currently ranks number 12 with a total of over 4,000 performances, surpassing grand epics like Jersey Boys and Miss Saigon. After opening in New York, a touring production has been mounted and has toured across the U.S. three times, with another major U.S. outing on the way.
